TechVidya Foundation's Journey
The TechVidya
Foundation was established by two businessmen, Sachin Rasal and Nitesh Sawant, who were
driven by a strong desire to make a positive impact through social work. They were particularly focused on
tackling the growing problem of pollution caused by e-waste and improving access to computer education for
underprivileged students in rural areas.
Initially, they started by donating computers to individual students, teachers, and schools. However, they
soon realized that this approach was not fully addressing the core issue. To create a more sustainable
solution, they decided to set up a complete, modern computer lab in a government school. This ambitious
project was successfully completed in 2023 at the ZP School in Karegaon, near Pune. The school now has a
fully functional computer lab, where trained faculty from TechVidya Foundation offer the latest computer
courses to students free of charge.
TechVidya Foundation aims to replicate this model in all schools that lack computer facilities, ensuring
that students who cannot afford the high fees for computer courses in urban areas have access to quality
digital education.
